Help In order to present this site in a way that closely resembles Lanting's vision, we have divided it into three separate sections--exactly like his extraordinary book, 'Eye to Eye'. The large 'B' and 'F' rhinoceros buttons at the upper corners of each screen stand for 'forward' or 'back' and move you from section to section, presenting a quick way to navigate through the whole site or return to a favorite image. In each section, as you navigate through the galleries of thumbnails, you can view a larger version of that image by simply clicking on it. If you would like an even larger, higher resolution version, simply click the word 'zoom' under that picture. Clicking on 'zoom back' returns the image to its original size. You will also have several options for reading--or listening to--Lanting's own comments on each image. Click on 'Information' to read his thoughts on how and why he made the image. Click on 'Animal Facts', and you'll not only get the common and Latin names of the species, but also the photographer's own informative natural history observations and facts. And of course, you need Shockwave so you can click the 'Audio' button and you can listen to Lanting describe several of his images. |
