ountaineer Tina Arapkiles warms up in a
tiny metal hut called "Fuerza Aerea", located
on a moraine on the edge of the Upsala
Glacier. The climbers spent one night in this
hut during a partial traverse of the
Continental Icecap. The hut was constructed by
the Argentine Air force for military training 15 years previously.
It is now a welcome site for
the very rare parties who attempt to cross this
part of the Icecap.
