Guanacos, wild relatives of llamas and vicunas, are making a comeback in protected parts of Patagonia, after years of hunting and losing their range to cattle and sheep. Perito Moreno National Park is the least visited, and one of the most remote parks in Argentina. It is named for Perito Francisco P. Moreno, an important Argentine explorer and the founder of the first National Park in Argentina.
