ANNIE LEIBOVITZ
photographed by Martin Schoeller, 1996
I guess the most remarkable thing about working closely with Annie was that although she primarily photographs the most influential people in the world, she would put as much energy and passion into photographing her best friends' children as she would the President. For her, it was always the importance of the photograph as much or more than the importance of the person. She would research, study and brainstorm about her pictures tirelessly. She works harder than everyone else. That's why her pictures are better than anyone else's.
